Creature Teachers 20.11.25

It was lovely to welcome Creature Teachers back to club, this is definitely another highlight of the year. As always, they brought an interesting variety of creatures, including a young owl. Everyone was very interested to learn that many come from rescue centres. We were also taught how to touch and hold the creatures in the correct way. For some we learnt that we could just look at them as they were not ready to be held yet. A huge thank you for a fantastic evening.
Halloween Disco 23.10.25

We are always extremely happy when club members suggest different ways of doing different events. For the Halloween Disco Matthew and Jacob suggested we completely changed the way the disco and dance floor were set up. They thought their suggestions would make it much better for setting up the lights and music and they were definitely right. A huge thank you to both of you. Also a huge thank you for keeping the music and lights going all night. You picked some great tunes to dance to and the light show was just amazing.

A huge thank you, as always, to Sarah for organising a very special evening. A huge thank you too to all the volunteers who worked so hard to make the event so special. Everyone had a great evening of dancing to the music and lights, having fun with friends and of course sampling the spooky cocktails and enjoying the tasty pizza.
Bingo 9.10.25

Another firm favourite on our club calendar is the annual Bingo Evening. A huge thank you to Assistant Leader Ryan for managing the proceedings and making sure all the calls for lines and full house were correct!

Lots of Rotary members gave their time to to run the different activities on the day. Another huge thank you goes to Brockenhurst Gateway Assistant Leader Ryan who organised the event making sure all the teams were invited and all the activities in place. He also made sure the day ran extremely smoothly and that everyone had lots of fun and a chance to take part in each event.

Twenty Eight members attended the evening and everyone enjoyed a fun filled event. A massive thank you to Assistant Leader Ryan for organising everyone to have their go and for keeping track of the scoring. It was great that he was very ably assisted by club members Liam and Richard who put up the skittles and returned the balls all evening.
It’s great to try a new activity.
Pedall Inclusive Cycling 11.9.25

We would like to say a massive thank you to Gareth and the team from Pedall for arranging an evening of accessible cycling on Thursday 11th September. Everyone had a great time trying out the different bikes and following the track that was created. It is definitely one of the highlights of the year.
We were all excited to hear that Pedall are holding a Festival on
Saturday 27th September at New Park, Brockenhurst.
For more information visit the Pedall New forest website. It looks like a fantastic day.
Lymington Adventure Golf 10.7.25

We regularly ask members the activities they would like to take part in and one new idea was golf. It was certainly a great idea as everyone really enjoyed the evening. We were very lucky too, with perfect weather for this new event on the club calendar. A round of golf and a picnic made for a great evening.
Ready for the next part of the course.
Keyhaven Yacht Club 7.7.25

A firm favourite on our calendar is our regular visit to Keyhaven Yacht Club. We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone at the club for making us so welcome. A special thanks to Heather, Stuart and Matt who organised everything on the evening and leading up to the event. We were very lucky with the weather and everyone greatly enjoyed their trips out to sea.
30th Anniversary Summer Ball Photo Booth

A very popular part of the 30th Anniversary Ball was the photo booth! Lots of member, guests, staff and volunteers had their picture taken and were able to take home a picture for themselves at the end of the evening. A huge thank you to Holly and Rose for volunteering their time to organise this for us. Thank you also to Vicky for creating the balloon arch.
30th Anniversary Summer Ball 3.7.25

This year Brockenhurst Gateway Club celebrates its 30th Anniversary. We decided to mark the occasion with a special evening at The Village Hall. The hall was beautifully decorated with the canopy, drapes and twinkly lights, one member commented it was like a marquee. To make the evening special we had mocktails, a photobooth, secret tombola and an amazing live band. We also had a fantastic buffet and home made cakes beautifully decorated with a 30 on the top of each one. It was lovely that some ex leaders and volunteers were able to attend and join in the celebrations. Everyone had a fantastic night joining in the different activities and of course dancing the night away! A huge thank you to everyone who helped to make the evening a success.

There was a fantastic choice of puddings.

Everyone agreed it was fantastic evening. A huge thank you to everyone who supported the event. Lots of the members have already asked when we can have another similar evening!
Now we are planning for the future and excited by the next activities that are coming up in the autumn.
