Keyhaven Yacht Club 21.7.26

Our annual visit to Keyhaven Yacht Club is a firm favourite on the club calendar. All the members who attended had an absolutely fantastic time out on the water and also chatting with friends while enjoying the amazing views. A huge thank you to all the people at Keyhaven Yacht Club who gave their time and worked so hard to make this a wonderful evening for members, staff and volunteers.

Mamma Mia Party 16.7.26

33 members attended our first ever Mamma Mia themed evening and everyone had a fantastic time. The tables were beautifully decorated and members, staff and volunteers arrived in their party clothes. A huge thank you to Club Leader, Sarah for the huge amount of work that went into organising such a special evening. Also a massive thank you to our resident DJ and Lighting expert club members Jacob and Matthew. The music and light show were amazing all evening.

Pedall Inclusive Cycling 4.6.26

PEDALL New Forest Inclusive Cycling coming to club is definitely one of the highlights of the club calendar. Members, staff and volunteers really look forward to the event and so it was a huge relief when the weather was kind to us! Despite rain and wind throughout the day we had lovely weather and even saw some blue sky! A massive thank you to Gareth and the team for making this such a fun evening.

New Forest Meddlers 21.5.26

It was fantastic to welcome The New Forest Meddlers back to club. Everyone greatly enjoys listening to their lively music and joining in with the different dances. It was lovely to join in some new dances this year, especially when we all formed a chain to go in and out of the hall! A massive thank you to all the troupe for giving their time to provide a really fun evening. The event is always hugely enjoyed by members, staff and volunteers.

With thirty one members attending we all agreed this had been an absolutely amazing evening. We were treated to fantastic performances and also the opportunity to have great fun and learn new skills. Thank you so much to all of The New Forest Meddlers.

Woodwork 14.5.26

Lots of members enjoyed making small tool boxes at club last night. Some made them for themselves and lots made them as a gift. It was great to see everyone working together to assemble the wooden kits and then choose decorations from all the different items available. It was fantastic to see the wide range of creative designs. A huge thank you to volunteer Howard for leading this activity.

Everyone agreed this had been a really fun activity. There was lots of chat about what the tool boxes could be used for. Some ideas included to store pens or jewellery. It was fantastic to see members working with volunteers, in pairs or independently. The finished designs were so individual and will definitely be very useful.

Easter Activities – 26.3.26

Everyone was very happy to try all the lovely Easter craft activities provided by Club Leader, Sarah. As always, there were lots of fantastic resources to choose from. Club members used their own choice of materials and creative ideas to complete their items to take home. Some members arrived in Easter hats and everyone was very pleased there were Easter eggs to include in their creations!

Valentine’s Disco 12.2.26

Thirty three members enjoyed an amazing Valentine’s Disco. Disco’s are always a firm favourite on the programme with members taking responsibility to plan parts of the event and lots of people getting dressed up for this fabulous occasion. A huge thank you to club members Matthew and Jacob who are our resident DJ and lighting expert. Also a big thank you to club member Richard who helped out on the snack bar. As always everyone enjoyed dancing and the very tasty and beautifully presented buffet prepared by Club Leader Sarah.

A huge thank you to everyone who made the evening such a great success. It was great to see members taking responsibility for different areas of the organisation including music, lights, suggesting songs and working on the snack bar. A big thank you goes to Sean from Minstead for all his support.

Making Valentine’s Cards 5.2.25

Everyone was very happy to see Esther and Geraldine come to club and bring their wonderful ideas and resources for making Valentine’s cards. We are so grateful for all the time you put into preparing this lovely activity. Thank you too for making this extra special by baking valentine heart shortbread to go in each card.

The shortbread hearts were very special.

It was great to choose from all the different resources.

Craft activities, socialising with friends and a cup of tea make for a great evening.

Spring Planters 22.1.26

We had a fantastic evening making Spring Planters. It was lovely to see 31 members attending and enjoying this lovely activity. Everyone chose from lots of different items to decorate their own individual pots to take home. There was a lovely choice of different coloured primulas too and also some daffodil plants which everyone will enjoy watching flower over the coming weeks.

Members, staff and volunteers all agree it had been a great evening. It was fantastic seeing members make such great design choices and working as independently as possible to complete their pot. Working together was also a main feature of the evening with everyone sitting and chatting and sharing resources.

A big thank you to club leader Sarah for all the fantastic resources for this activity.

Christmas Activities 27.11.25

A massive thank you to Club Leader Sarah for making 48 Christmas Cakes for everyone to decorate. Also a huge thank you to Caroline who wrapped all the cakes beautifully. It was certainly a fantastic evening with members also making and decorating tree decorations to take home.
